PBKS & GT Dominate with Thrilling Wins in Jaipur & Delhi – Brar and Sudharsan Shine Bright

Punjab Kings Edge Past Rajasthan Royals in High-Scoring Jaipur Thriller
Punjab Kings (PBKS) ended Rajasthan Royals' (RR) playoff hopes with a nail-biting 10-run victory in Jaipur yesterday. Batting first, PBKS posted a commanding 219/5 in 20 overs. Nehal Wadhera led the charge with a sparkling 70, supported by Shashank Singh's unbeaten 59 and handy knocks from Prabhsimran (21), Shreyas Iyer (30), and Azmatullah Omarzai (21*).
RR’s bowling unit tried hard, with Tushar Deshpande picking up 2 wickets, and Kwena Maphaka, Riyan Parag, and Akash Singh taking one each.
In response, RR fought valiantly but fell short at 209/7. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a fluent 50, while Dhruv Jurel’s fiery 53 kept the hopes alive. Contributions from Vaibhav Sharma (40), Sanju Samson (20), and others weren’t enough to push them over the line.
Harpreet Brar stole the show with a match-winning spell of 3/22, earning him the Player of the Match award. Marco Jansen (2/41) and Omarzai (2/44) supported well with key breakthroughs.
GT Crush DC with Record-Breaking Opening Partnership
In Delhi, Gujarat Titans (GT) delivered a clinical 10-wicket thrashing to Delhi Capitals (DC). Winning the toss and opting to field, GT restricted DC to 199/3. KL Rahul was the lone warrior, smashing an unbeaten 122 off just 65 balls, including 14 boundaries and 4 sixes.
Despite DC's strong total, GT’s openers turned the chase into a one-sided affair. Sai Sudharsan played a sensational knock of 108* off 61 balls, laced with 12 fours and 4 sixes. Partnering him, Shubman Gill blasted an unbeaten 93 off 53, including 3 fours and 7 towering sixes.
GT chased down the target with ease, finishing at 205/0 in just 19 overs. Sudharsan was rightly adjudged Player of the Match for his explosive innings.
IPL fans witnessed two electrifying games with standout performances and playoff-shaking outcomes.
