Gujarat Titans Defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 38 Runs
Shubman Gill led from the front with a blazing 76 as Gujarat Titans (GT) outclassed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 38 runs in Match 51 of IPL 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmadabad yesterday. The stylish opener anchored GT's explosive innings of 224/6, aided by crucial knocks from Jos Buttler (64) and B Sai Sudharsan (48).
SRH’s chase started on a shaky note, with Travis Head falling early to a sensational catch by Rashid Khan. Though Abhishek Sharma fought back valiantly with a 74 off 41 balls, he lacked support from the other end. Prasidh Krishna’s tight spell (2/19) ensured SRH couldn’t keep up with the asking rate, eventually finishing at 186/6.
This dominant win lifts GT to second in the points table(14) and puts SRH on the brink of playoff elimination.
