IPL 2025:KKR Are Out Of The IPL Due To Rain
In an unexpected turn of events, defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were knocked out of the IPL 2025 playoff race as the much-anticipated match between KKR and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ended in a washout. The rain-drenched Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru saw no action, with persistent showers forcing a complete cancellation of the game.
The game was a crucial one for KKR, who needed a win to stay alive in the tournament, sitting at 6th position with only two games remaining. Despite their hopes, the washout left KKR with just 12 points from 13 matches, effectively ending their playoff chances.
On the other hand, RCB earned one valuable point, bringing their tally to 17 points from 12 games, and moved to the top of the IPL 2025 standings.
