Krunal Pandya’s Match-Winning 73 Powers RCB to Top Spot with a 6-Wicket Victory Over DC

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) continued their impressive form with a 6-wicket win over Delhi Capitals (DC) to claim the top spot in the IPL points table. The thrilling match saw Krunal Pandya deliver a match-winning 73* off 47 balls, his first fifty in the IPL since 2016. Alongside him, Virat Kohli played a vital role, anchoring the chase with a solid 51 from 47 balls. The duo put together a 119-run partnership off 84 balls to help RCB chase down 165 runs in just 18.3 overs.
RCB’s bowlers, particularly Josh Hazlewood and the spinners, were instrumental in limiting DC to a total of 162/6. Despite a shaky start at 26/3, RCB's chase was anchored by the experience of Kohli and the brilliance of Krunal, who hit four sixes, including an exquisite straight drive off Mukesh Kumar and a stunning aerial shot over cover against Kuldeep Yadav.
For Kohli, this was his sixth 50+ score in just 10 innings, showcasing his incredible consistency this season. However, the night truly belonged to Krunal, who marked his second-ever 50+ score in 116 IPL innings, ensuring RCB’s seventh win in 10 games and strengthening their playoff ambitions. With DC suffering their third loss in nine matches, both teams are on track for a playoff spot, but RCB’s dominant all-around performance has put them in a strong position.
